opportunities to serve

Each year, we are blessed by the countless ways in which parents, grandparents, and friends of our school volunteer their time and talents to help make Moline Christian School a great place of learning.

Looking for ways to serve and stay connected?  We would love to partner with you!

  • New Life Thrift Store

VOLUNTEER NOW - CALL New Life Thrift Store (616) 534-7134

New Life is a non-profit, Christ-centered organization whose mission is to raise funds to reduce tuition costs to the South Suburban Christian Schools (Moline,  Byron Center, Legacy, Dutton and South Christian High Schools).

You can support MCS by serving and shopping at both the Byron Center and Wyoming locations.

Each year Moline is asked to supply volunteers for two different months.  These volunteers help sort, clean and price donated items,  work at the cash register, bag merchandise, straighten/stock merchandise on sales floor, etc.

Please consider helping out as often as you can!  Watch our website for a sign- up schedule or contact New Life for available time slots.

  • School Circle

Interested in working with and meeting other parents to help support Moline Christian School?  You can find more information about School Circle here.

  • Volunteer Librarians

Our library is full of wonderful books, and we're looking for parents who love books and children to serve as volunteer librarians.  If you can volunteer a half-day one or more times per month, we'll train you how to check books in and out.   If interested, please contact our head librarian, Marilyn VanderLaan.

  • Moms in Prayer and Prayer Warriors

We seek and appreciate our community's prayers for Moline Christian School.  Please pray for wisdom and patience for our staff and board members as well as health and strength for both students and teachers.

If you are looking for a group to pray with about the needs, concerns, protection, and growth of Moline Christian School and its students and staff, Moms in Prayer meets every Monday afternoon from 2-3 p.m. in the Spanish room.
